  • Trust administration in California is the legal process by which a trustee manages and distributes the assets of a trust according to the terms set out in the trust document and in compliance with California law. This process begins when the trust becomes irrevocable—typically upon the death or incapacity of the person who created the trust (the settlor).

  • Probate in California is the legal process used to settle a person's estate after they die. It involves proving a will (if there is one), paying debts and taxes, and distributing the remaining assets to the rightful heirs or beneficiaries under court supervision.
